Where we meet

It may be that you have never been to church before.  If so, you are particularly welcome.  We seek to present the Christian message in a language that everyone can understand and to make our gatherings accessible to all, no matter how little experience of church you might have.

If you are thinking about joining us on a Sunday, you may have some questions.

What happens?

Our meetings are informal and contemporary.  There is a time of singing praise to God, times of prayer and reflection, and a talk from a Bible passage.  Most weeks there is an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the talk.  People generally stick around after we are done for good coffee and better conversation.

What should I wear?

Whatever you like.  There is no dress code. This is Durban.

How long are the meetings?

They usually last a little over an hour, but most people hang around to chat afterwards before sometimes heading out to one of the many cafe's and restaurants of Morningside.

Will I have to join in?

The simple answer is ‘no'.  You are very welcome to sit and observe.  But we hope that you will find our meetings engaging, thought-provoking and spiritually refreshing.

Do I need to give money?

Definitely not!  We don’t believe visitors should pay for church.  The regular members are deeply grateful for what Jesus has done for them and are passionately committed to this church.  Therefore they give generously, sacrificially and joyfully. Read more on giving here

In addition to our larger Sunday Gathering, we also meet during the week in smaller groups at various homes in the neighbourhood. You can read more about that here
